Abstract
This IDC Perspective examines three video games that appear to have especially robust creator economies in 2023: Roblox, Minecraft, and Fortnite. More specially, it contrasts how the creator economies of Roblox Corp.'s Roblox Studio, Microsoft and Mojang's Minecraft Marketplace, and Epic Games' UEFN are designed, and it distills from them five principles or foundational elements that any organization that's looking to uplevel their customer experience (CX) initiatives in a digital context should review, as these principles shed light on where the field of CX is likely headed generally.
