Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight presents key findings from IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey, Wave 2 (February 2024, n = 896). The overall survey focused on issues related to IT leaders' economic outlook, 2024 IT spending plans, and the impact that GenAI is having on those decisions. This survey of 896 respondents in North America, Asia/Pacific, and Western Europe was conducted in February 2024 while IT leaders were starting to execute on initial GenAI plans and developing longer-term road maps. This IDC Survey Spotlight examines how organizational usage of different data types, as well as their preferred GenAI cost/consumption strategy, evolve over time as organizations move from testing GenAI to investing significantly to introducing it into their business processes and workflows.
