This IDC Market Presentation, utilizing worldwide findings from IDC's 2024 Managed Cloud View Survey, provides a detailed analysis of enterprise and organizational use and requirements of what IDC refers to as multicloud operations that involve deploying the SAME process (e.g., DevOps, CI/CD, recovery), management approach (e.g., containers, APIs), technology solutions (e.g., software, hardware), and/or protocols and procedures (e.g., security, compliance) across two or more public cloud IaaS providers (e.g., AWS, Google, Azure, IBM, Alibaba). The survey utilized for this study was deployed worldwide and involved polling 1,514 end users in order to collect information on adoption of managed cloud services by enterprises and organizations with 1,000+ employees.
