Abstract
This IDC Survey presents the findings of IDC's 2023 Product Innovation and Aftermarket Services Survey from the perspective of 445 product life-cycle management (PLM) decision-makers. The survey results highlight the business drivers, application areas, and investment trends of discrete and process manufacturers. For research purposes, manufacturers have been segmented into four sizes based on number of employees: small (fewer than 500 employees), midsize (500–999 employees), large (1,000–4,999 employees), and enterprise (5,000+ employees). All respondents were either the primary decision-maker or part of a team that makes decisions related to product life-cycle management in the North America, EMEA, and APAC regions.
