This IDC study provides a brief overview of the 2023 performance of the worldwide external OEM enterprise storage systems market, based on an annual view of the quarterly results in the IDC Quarterly Enterprise Storage Systems Tracker released in March 2023.
"Although revenue for external enterprise storage systems declined in 2023, the outlook is brighter for 2024," said Carol Sliwa, research director, IT Infrastructure, IDC. "Drivers will include AI projects and other digital business initiatives that require higher performance, greater capacity, tighter security, more flexible protocol support, and improved hybrid multicloud management capabilities to meet modern workload requirements."
