Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight focuses on outdated human resources (HR) systems and their impact on the workforce and work-related challenges. HR and non-HR employees were asked their opinions on the HR systems, including the systems and business processes related to core HR systems, payroll, recruiting, performance management, learning management, compensation management, HR services delivery, and workforce management (time and expense). Industry differences are also brought forth.

IDC recently conducted our annual Human Resources Survey in June 2023. This survey covers a variety of topics within HR, including work-related challenges, talent shortages, outdated HXM systems, policies, payroll, recruiting, performance management, learning, talent management, compensation, contingent labor, and employee experience. In addition, the survey looked at the use of technology and services, satisfaction of products and services, and current and future investment areas.
