Abstract
This IDC Survey reports the results from over 300 United States-based midsize to large organizations conducted in January 2023. Respondents work at organizations that that have adopted DevSecOps and are either a decision maker or influence decisions regarding DevSecOps and application security The survey examines the drivers, benefits, and challenges associated with DevSecOps and application security. It also explores the usage, both current and projected, of specific DevSecOps tools, as well as the role the developer plays in adoption and selection. Other topics include organizational aspects of adopting DevSecOps, including cultural and structural adjustments, and emerging practices around security the software supply chain.
