This IDC Survey is an add-on report targeted toward engineering service providers targeting manufacturing and resources buyers for IoT services. This technology buyer segment includes enterprises from discrete and process manufacturing, oil and gas, energy, utilities, and construction verticals. This Survey showcases key motivations behind IoT services partnerships, their average contract length, value, contract types, and challenges related to these engagements and the decision-making process.
The worldwide sample size of 503 respondents included enterprises from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, China, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Japan, from a variety of industries and organization sizes ranging from 500 employees to more than 10,000 employees. The data in this document is based on a sample size of 154 manufacturing and resources enterprises.
