Abstract
This IDC Market Perspective presents key findings from AWS' annual analyst summit held in London in April. While AI inevitably dominated the agenda, the event also featured presentations and discussions about the company's focus on industry clouds, the role of its partnership ecosystems, and approach to digital sovereignty. AWS also highlighted its sustainability practices and initiatives.
"AWS is the dominant cloud infrastructure player in Europe, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have challenges," said Duncan Brown, group vice president at IDC. "Differentiating its AI position, emphasizing business (as opposed to technology) relevance, and establishing a long-term partner proposition should be at the top of the firm's strategic priorities in EMEA."
