Abstract

This IDC reports looks at the changing considerations regarding cloud usage in financial services technology infrastructure and what technology leaders must now incorporate into their current and future strategies regarding their desired states of technology. It looks into the impact of marketplaces, financial clouds, sovereign cloud, and multicloud, which represent critical factors in decisions over cloud technologies.

"In Asia/Pacific, financial services institutions (FSIs) must work to understand now if they should use cloud and in what manner should they be leveraging cloud to constantly innovate and create new value for their businesses. With so many new factors to consider, from the cloud offerings from major hyperscalers to new regulations, technology leaders in banks, capital markets, and insurance will have to navigate their way to determine the best state for the future infrastructure of their institutions and what tools and partners will allow them to get there," says Michael Sek Pheng Yeo, associate research director, IDC Asia/Pacific.
