Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight focuses on end-user IT spending priorities in the event of a recession. Although end users are split as to whether Asia/Pacific (including Japan) (APJ) will fall into recession, they have indicated that although no areas of technology will be immune from spending cuts, they do have a list of priorities of which technologies will be more immune to the cuts in the event of one. In APJ, these priorities are different from the worldwide level, and it would serve vendors well to understand these differences and the driving forces behind them.
